The Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF) Entrepreneurship Grant for young Africans seeks to empower women and men across the African continent with $5000 each, catalyzing economic growth, driving poverty eradication, and ensuring job creation.
The Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF) was founded in 2010 by Tony O. Elumelu, an entrepreneur, and philanthropist who is passionate about Africa’s economic development.
Tony Elumelu Foundation Grant is focused on empowering underserved communities in Sub-Saharan Africa comprising men, women, youth, and the informal sector.
The Tony Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneurship Grant is a $5m fund which provides access to funding, market opportunities, knowledge enhancement, and technical training for women entrepreneurs in Africa.

For the 2025 round of application, the following programmes will be open:
- TEF Flagship Entrepreneurship Programme:Â Open to all entrepreneurs across Africa with business ideas or existing businesses. Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
- IYBA-WE4A Entrepreneurship Programme:Â Open exclusively to women entrepreneurs with green business ideas or existing green businesses in Senegal, Tanzania, Uganda, Cameroon, Kenya, Mozambique, Malawi, and Togo. Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
- Aguka Ideation Programme:Â Open to Rwandan entrepreneurs with businesses in the idea stage and aged 18-30.
- BeGreen Africa Programme:Â This programme is open to entrepreneurs with green businesses in Nigeria, Senegal, and South Africa, as well as waste management businesses specifically in Kenya. Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old.

Be African entrepreneurs with startups or business concepts poised for growth.
Applicants must also be at least 18 years of age.
