The Mansion House Scholarship Scheme (MHSS) awards scholarships to students and business executives at an early stage of their careers. Scholars are funded to study or undertake training or work experience in the financial services sector within the UK. The Scheme was established during Sir Richard Nichols’ mayoralty in 1997/98. The Scheme was registered with the Charity Commission in 2001. Since its inception, the Scheme has awarded 208 scholarships to applicants from 70 countries, 35 of which are defined as developing by the OECD.

Who is eligible to apply?
Interested applicants are required to note the following information:Â
- Mansion House scholarships are for one year only at the Master’s degree level or equivalent, the scholarship does not include funds for multi-year degrees or research.
- Applicants must have a confirmed place to study a finance or related professional subject.Â
- The Mansion House scholarship grants a great majority of its awards to overseas students.Â
