Eligibility/Qualification:
- Completed academic degree and desired doctoral degree (PhD) in History or related fields.
- Experience in archival research in various geographic locations.
- Working language skills in two or more languages.
- Peer-reviewed publications or submitted/accepted manuscripts.
- Interest in interdisciplinary research with public health, medical anthropology, and sociology.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in research teams.
- Excellent English communication skills.
Job Description: The Research Associate will:
- Conduct scientific services for research within the ERC Starting Grant project.
- Engage in original archival research with a thematic focus on socialist ideologies, healthcare systems, and medical technologies.
- Explore histories of medical technologies in socialist contexts from scientific, economic, and political perspectives.
- Contribute to project aims, including academic event organization, public dissemination, and publications.
- Examine the impact of socialist internationalism on global health in the 20th century.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and analyze the interaction of political ideology and public health practices.
