The crisis of confidence between the Lagos state governor, Akinwunmi
Ambode, and the state House of Assembly deepened on Monday as the
lawmakers denied being aware of the governor’s planned presentation of
2019 budget proposal.
Journalists who arrived at the state’s Assembly lobby about 2:30pm were
approached by one of the Speaker’s aides who asked them to vacate the
premises as the Speaker was said not to be in the know of the planned
visit of the governor for the presentation of any budget.
