What you will do
As a Quantitative Analyst Intern, you will be assigned to quantitative analytics-related work to support our Trading business spanning Crude, Products, Natural Gas & Power, and Freight. You will work with the trading team to accomplish several projects that seek to provide meaningful examples of the Trading business.. All projects are subject  to business needs and may include research as well as development of trading opportunities.
In addition to project work in your assigned area, you’ll have opportunities to tour our facilities, learn from senior leaders, and engage with a wide range of experienced professionals and other students. A variety of events held both on and off site will also allow our interns to engage further with their cohort, recent graduates, and other professionals and senior leaders across the organization.
Duration of our summer internships is  typically 3 months. Successful interns may receive the opportunity to return for another internship or full-time employment to kick start their careers.
About you
We seek students who are passionate about what they do and are eager to learn more about career paths within our global trading organization in the energy sector. Students with strong academic performance pursuing a Masters or Ph.D. in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Math, Engineering and other STEM majors are encouraged to apply.
Skills and Qualifications
To be eligible for our Quantitative Analytics Internship Program, you should be:
- Currently pursuing a degree (preferably MSc or PhD) in a quantitative field such as Engineering, Data Analytics, Statistics/ Mathematics, Quantitative Finance/Economics at a reputable university, with an expected graduation date between June 2025 and December 2025
- Outstanding candidates pursuing a Bachelor’s degree may be considered
- Be fluent in Python (or comparable language) and/or Excel-VBA, and knowledge in SQL
- Have an understanding of option theory – particularly stochastic calculus and option Greeks – and econometrics
- Proficient in numerical techniques such as Monte-Carlo simulation and dynamic programming
- Be able to demonstrate:
- Outstanding analytical, numerical and problem solving skills
- An interest in commodity and financial markets
- Detail-oriented and thorough approach to work
- A strong desire to deliver high quality work in a timely fashion
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively within an international team environment
