The successful candidate will join the Marine Biodiversity Conservation Group Med Recover and contribute to the RESMED+ project, focusing on enhancing the management and conservation of fishery resources through integrated territorial management.

Location: University of Barcelona, Spain
Eligibility/Qualification: Candidates must have a PhD in a relevant area or equivalent experience, a strong quantitative background, and/or prior experience in working with telemetry data. A diving license and experience in scientific diving and boat license are desirable but not indispensable. An interest and understanding of marine science and conservation, particularly in the Mediterranean and coastal waters, are preferred.
Job Description: The appointed candidate will support the design, implementation, and delivery of an acoustic telemetry project in the transboundary NW Mediterranean, including tagging fish, rays, and sharks. They will lead the analysis of telemetry data to characterize movement patterns and habitat use, and disseminate findings through publications, conference presentations, and outreach activities. The candidate will work collaboratively with the project team and utilize available data to contribute scientifically and to applied management inputs.
