Structural Transformation of African Agriculture and Rural Spaces (STAARS) Fellows program
The STAARS fellowship program is a multi-institution collaboration managed by Cornell University in collaboration with the University of Sussex and the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC) that pairs selected early-career African researchers with faculty or senior research staff mentors to advance rigorous, policy-oriented research on the causal determinants of productivity and income growth, asset accumulation, rural employment and risk management in African agriculture and rural spaces. The STAARS program invites individual young scholars (PhD no earlier than 2017) from African research institutions to apply. The full RFP, application instructions, and more information about STAARS can be found here.Â
