Doctoral Dissertation Proposal Development Fellowship (up to 8 awards per year)
The fellowship supports doctoral students with up to $3,000 over 3 months to develop a doctoral dissertation proposal. Next Gen supports costs related to pre-fieldwork surveys, literature review and doctoral dissertation proposal writing.
Doctoral Dissertation Research Fellowship (up to 14 awards per year)
The fellowship supports doctoral students with up to $15,000 for 6-12 months of doctoral dissertation research. Next Gen helps students strengthen their dissertations, from literature review, fieldwork to data collection and analysis and scholarly writing.
Doctoral Dissertation Completion Fellowship (up to 16 awards per year)
The fellowship supports doctoral students with up to $10,000 to take a 12-month leave from teaching and/or other employment to focus on data analysis and scholarly writing to complete their doctoral dissertations and degrees.
Post-Doctoral Writing Fellowship (up to 6 awards per year)
The fellowship supports up to six early-career faculty, who are Next Gen alumni and have completed their doctorate degrees, with up to $3,000 to take a six-month leave from teaching and/or other employment to focus on writing or completing dissertation-based draft articles for submission and publication in reputable peer-reviewed journals. Next Gen supports fellows with writing and revising manuscripts,literature search, fact-checking and copy-editing.
